What to see in Nigrán
The work of the Porriño architect Antonio Palacios, whose magnificent horseshoe arch has been preserved, and the new church completed in 1937, blends contemporary construction elements with Romanesque, Gothic, and Baroque influences. The church has a Latin cross plan with a single nave and the bell tower at the foot of the church, culminating in a dome crowned by a majestic ribbed dome with an octagonal floor plan.
Romanesque in style, from the 13th century. It has ten semicircular arches, some slightly pointed and others ogival.

This beach is located at the end of Playa de Patos, past the fishermen’s cottages. It’s a small beach with coarse sand and very rocky shores, located at the foot of Monteferro.
This beach is located at the end of Playa América, in this case, at the foot of Monte Lourido. It is marked with a sign indicating that dogs are allowed.

Breathtaking viewpoints
It is located in the village of Chandebrito, more precisely in the Iglesia neighborhood, on the hill of the same name. It enjoys wonderful views of the Atlantic Ocean, the Vigo estuary, and the Cies Islands, as well as the natural landscapes of the Nigrán district.
It is located at the highest point in the municipality and is part of the “Das Medoñas” route in Priegue. From here, you can enjoy magnificent views of the valley and Playa América.
Located on Monte Castelo, in the Village of Parada, it was built on the remains of the 12th-century Castle of Santa Elena. Its location offers spectacular panoramic views of the area. It has a recreational area with tables and barbecues.

A journey that transforms
Camino de Santiago
The Portuguese Coastal Route, officially recognized since 2009, begins in Porto and ends in Santiago after 280 km and 13 stages. In Galicia, it enters through A Guarda, and in Nigrán, it runs 7.5 km from the Medieval Bridge of A Ramallosa to Priegue, crossing the Vigo Estuary with spectacular views and historic country houses.
At this stage, pilgrims can choose between the Official Route, marked with yellow arrows, or the Coastal Variant, marked with green arrows. The Official Route follows rural routes, passing by emblematic manors such as Pías, da Robaleira, Urzáiz, and Cea, as well as the churches of San Pedro and San Félix.
The Coastal Variant follows the coast, passing through Playa América, Panxón, A Madorra, Patos and Prado, offering a route along the Atlantic until connecting with the PO-325 road towards Vigo.
